Since 1962 in Bologna, Aias has been at the side of people with disabilities and their families. The goal of AIAS Bologna Onlus (Italian Association of Spastic Assistance) is to ensure respect for the dignity of disabled people and to promote the right to a peaceful and inclusive life in the community. Collaborating and supporting AIAS can be an important opportunity to testify to the Social Responsibility of Companies.

What do we do

Aias Bologna Onlus supports disabled adults in the management of daily life through house assistance or in residential structures.

Also ensures opportunities for growth and social participation for adolescents, young people and adults with disabilities through daily activities in day-time centers.

Furthermore, organizes recreational and leisure activities, strolling around and holiday for children, teenagers and young adults with disabilities of all ages.

Aias Bologna Onlus works in close collaboration with the network of local and specialist social and health services. It trains operators, develops and disseminates new knowledge. It supports public authority, contributing to the definition of social and health policies and strategies, through research and survey and analysis of needs. It deals with the most advanced realities in Europe and contributes to the promotion of policies in favor of disabled people and their families and the quality of services.

Aias Bologna Onlus works in harmony with the principles set out in the UN Convention for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, a concrete tool that allows us to combat discrimination and violations of human rights. The United Nations Assembly approved the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in December 2006. Through its 50 articles, the Convention indicates the path that States of the world must travel to guarantee the rights of equality and social inclusion for all. citizens with disabilities.
